Kylie is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and its from here that she writes her blog and feature articles for one of my favourite mags 'Home Beautiful'. It seems we have something very much in common, because back in June 2012 Kylie delightfully explored 'caravan love' through the most inspirational images of caravans ever seen!
What a buzz to see one of my cushions featured alongside other hand picked 'Made It' beauties on the respectable glossy pages of Real Living! 
I must be one of the luckiest girls around! How do I know this? My hubby fought back the crowds of gorgeous on trend women at the highly publicised and uber cool Design Files Open House in November to get the book Things I Love by stylist guru MM better known as Meagan Morton. 
Happy to welcome on board a new stockist this week based in New South Wales. White Rock Silver is a studio and shop in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales which is the creation of silversmith Rebecca Price. Rebecca designs and makes sterling silver jewellery, stunning hand stamped pendants and resin bangles and stocks an ever increasing range of other hand made wares from the surrounding area and throughout Australia. 
I've been having a blast in the studio with some hot new fluoro colours and designs for cushions. They look amazing when the primaries are thrown together! The fluoro blue and yellow in particular make a big colour statement. I think these are just the trick for summer and today I delivered a dozen to Crate Expectations in Malvern. 
Renowned paint company Dulux have an inspirational approach to colour this winter, highlighting their love of pink! Renowned stylist and writer, Heather Nette King selected a popular Ivy & Lil cushion to feature in the Dulux photo shoot! Is that hot? Yeah that's really hot! 
What is it about all that open space that's so intoxicating? ... I keep being drawn back to the remote outback of Australia, where vast uninterrupted horizons and stark landscapes dominate. Away from the hustle and bustle, this space is where the ‘noise’ of life is dulled and pushed to the background and the important things often overlooked find their voice. Upon return I scan my photos looking for that one image that encapsulates the journey. Our latest venture to Cape York was the most remote yet and well worth the effort to snap this shot from what is affectionately called ‘the tip’. 
There's a heightened sensibility for signs, text and graphics that comes from long journeys through outback Australia. Any form of written or visual communication jumps out and commands your attention.
